About Bowinn & Boyle

Bowinn Ma has served as a BC MLA for North Vancouver-Lonsdale since 2017 and was appointed Minister of State for Infrastructure in 2020. She is a licensed Professional Engineer and certified Project Management Professional with a graduate degree from the UBC Sauder School of Business. Known for her work in sustainable transportation, Bowinn has also championed local investments in affordable housing, child care and education. She is committed to urgent action on the climate emergency and has made headlines for speaking publicly on difficult topics like racism, sexism and eating disorders. She lives in North Van with her partner and two cats.

Christine Boyle is a community organizer, climate justice activist, United Church Minister, and a founding member of OneCity Vancouver. She is passionate about tackling inequality, housing justice, and anti-racism and Indigenous rights. Prior to political life, Christine worked as a strategic communicator, supported GreenJobs BC, led multi-faith climate justice efforts nationally, and worked in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Christine has an BSc in Urban Agriculture and First Nations Studies from UBC and an MA in Religious Leadership for Social Change from Berkeley, CA. She lives in East Van with her partner and two kids.
